Last weekend I took a trip to Busan with two friends and we did the whole thing for under 100,000 KRW each. Here's how!
Transport: KTX is expensive (59,800 KRW one way). Instead, we took the intercity bus from Seoul Express Bus Terminal - only 23,000 KRW and takes about 4.5 hours. We traveled overnight to save on accommodation!
Accommodation: We found a guesthouse near Haeundae for 15,000 KRW per person per night. Clean, basic, and the owner spoke some English. Booked through Naver.
Food: Jagalchi Fish Market has amazing fresh seafood. We shared a sashimi platter for 30,000 KRW between three people. Also tried ssiat hotteok at BIFF Square - only 1,000 KRW each and absolutely delicious.
Must-see (all free): Haeundae Beach, Gamcheon Culture Village, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. All incredible and completely free to visit.
Busan is such a different vibe from Seoul - more relaxed, warmer, and the seafood is on another level. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway!

I went through the same process last month. Can confirm everything here is accurate.
