Has anyone transferred between language schools?

I've been studying at a language school in Busan for one semester, but I want to transfer to a Seoul-based program next semester. Has anyone gone through this process before?

My main concerns are: Will my current level be recognized? Do I need to retake a placement test? And most importantly, will this affect my D-4 visa status?

I'm considering either Yonsei KLI or Sogang KLEC. If anyone has experience with either of these programs, I'd love to hear your thoughts. The teaching style at my current school is very textbook-heavy and I want something more conversational.
