Spring semester at Yonsei - my honest review

I just finished my first semester at Yonsei University's Korean Language Institute (KLI) and here's my honest review.
Pros: The teachers are excellent and very patient. The textbooks are well-structured. The campus is absolutely beautiful, especially during cherry blossom season. The class size was about 12 students which felt manageable. They also organize cultural activities like temple stays and cooking classes.
Cons: It's expensive compared to other programs (about 1.8 million KRW per semester). The pace is fast - if you miss a few classes, it's hard to catch up. The location (Sinchon) is great but housing nearby is also expensive.
My progress: I started at Level 2 and finished Level 3 in one semester. My speaking improved dramatically because the teachers really push you to speak Korean in class. Writing is still my weakest area.
Overall, I'd rate it 8/10. Would recommend if you can afford it, but there are good cheaper alternatives if budget is a concern.

Great tips! I wish I had known this before I arrived.
I went through the same process last month. Can confirm everything here is accurate.
This is so relatable! Korean winter is no joke coming from Southeast Asia.
